The TEA-LP set to contribute to the SEED conference in Spain next month

We are incredibly excited to announce that the TEA-LP is taking 11 of our partners to the Sustainable Energy Education conference (SEED) in Valencia, Spain next month. Ten of these partners have had their paper submissions accepted and will be presenting their research at the conference. We will also be hosting a workshop titled, Sustainable Energy Education: Delivering the energy workforce of the future.

The workshop aims to address the evolving landscape of the energy sector and the educational needs to support a skilled work force that is ready to deliver clean energy access that is technologically sound, economically feasible, and locally appropriate. Through a panel discussion with partner experts and an interactive session, this workshop will explore the role of energy education in cultivating a workforce that is capable of addressing the multiple, complex challenges faced within the sector. This workshop will take an international view with insights from across the globe, including Pakistan, Fiji, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Nigeria, South Africa, Malawi, Kenya and Zimbabwe.

Our panel of partner experts include; Francis Xavier Ochieng (Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya), Misbahu Ladan Mohammed (Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Nigeria), Kiran Siraj and Naveed Arshad (Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan), Tobinson Briggs and Ogheneruona Endurance Diemuodeke (Uniport, Nigeria), Nofri Yenita Dahlan (UiTM, Malaysia), Ramendra Prasad (University of Fiji, Fiji), Bright Chisadza (Lupane State University, Zimbabwe), Tingneyuc Sekac (Papua New Guinea University)and Chispin Gogoda Mbewe (Mzuzu University, Malawi). TEA-LP team member Mascha Moorlach and network partner from Efficiency for Access Design Challenge, Jackie Garcia, will be overseeing this workshop.

The SEED conference is a relevant and exciting new event that sees the coming together of researchers, academics and practitioners world wide. SEED conference is the international forum to establish the global learning community to exchange knowledge, provide opportunities and ultimately develop a shared vision of Sustainable Education. SEED aims to appeal to all the stakeholders, such as academia, vocational education & training, industry, public authorities, public entities, NGOs, and foundations.

We are so looking forward to this event and hope to see you there.
