Mrs. Nurhussien is an Assistant Professor of Energy Technology at the Ethiopian Institute of Technology-Mekelle (EiT-M). She holds an MSc in Energy Technology from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mekelle University (2013), and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering (2010). With extensive experience in the field, she serves as a senior lecturer of Energy at the Ethiopian Institute of Technology, Mekelle University, where she currently leads the Center of Energy. Over the past twelve years, she has been actively involved in teaching both senior and junior courses, conducting research, facilitating knowledge and technology transfer, and providing consultancy services in the energy sector. Her contributions to the field are evident through her publication of articles and conference proceedings.

Mr. Mebrahtu received MSc in Energy Technology from the Mechanical Engineering department, Mekelle University (2014), BSc Industrial Engineering (2008). He is a senior lecturer of Renewable Energy in the Ethiopian Institute of Technology, Mekelle University. He is acting head of the thermal and energy systems chair. He has been participating in various researches and consultancy services related to Energy for the last 10 years. His research focuses on: Solar Energy Thermal and Photovoltaic Application, Wind Energy, Bio-Energy, Energy Economics and policies, and Technology Management.

Solomon Teklemichael received a joint masters in Renewable Energy from IST, Portugal, Lisbon and KTH, Sweden, Stockholm in 2013. He is a senior lecturer of Renewable Energy in Mekelle University, EiT-M. He has been participating in various researches and consultancy services related to Renewable Energy. At present he is a focal person for Germany Development Bank (KFW) funded project ‘’ Centre of Excellence in Renewable Energy with Focus in Wind and Solar Energy (RE-WISE)’’, since 22 January 2019. He was the head of Thermal and Energy Systems chair under EiT-M since October 24, 2016 to August 01, 2018. His Research focuses on; Innovative technology development for converting and recovering municipal solid waste to energy; Renewable energy resources assessment, studying energy provision systems to developing countries; Alternative fuel development for industries and energy efficiency enhancement.
