Busitema University
Busitema University (BU) is a university in Uganda, and is one of the eight public universities and degree-awarding institutions in the country. The university has a main focus on agricultural sciences, agricultural mechanisation, and agribusiness, and has five faculties:

Gulu University
Gulu University (GU) is a university in Uganda. It is one of the nine public universities in the country, as of September 2016. GU was established by Act 7 of 2001 of the Parliament of Uganda. Mekelle University is a higher education and training public institution located in Mekelle, Ethiopia, and is one of the largest public universities in Ethiopia. Moi University
Moi University is a public university located in Kesses, Kenya. It was established in 1984 by the Moi University Act of the Parliament of Kenya, after recommendations from the McKay Commission. In its first year of existence, there was only one department – the Department of Forestry, where 83 students enrolled. The university’s school of medicine was established in 1996, and was the second school of medicine established in the country. Today, the university places emphasis on science and technology, and is home to the following schools:

Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology
The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) is a public institution located in Arusha, Tanzania. It forms a part of the network of Pan-African Institutes of Science and Technology spread across the continent. NM-AIST is actively being developed as a research-intensive institution focused on postgraduate and postdoctoral studies and research in Science, Engineering, and Technology, with an additional focus on elements of humanities and business studies. The institution’s specializations include life sciences and bio-engineering, which are being cultivated due to the region’s rich biodiversity. An important mission of NM-AIST Arusha is to stimulate and advance agricultural production, leading to increased output. Additionally, the institution places a strong emphasis on value addition to natural products, such as agricultural and mineral resources, within Tanzania and the broader Eastern African region.

Strathmore University
University of Rwanda
University of Rwanda is a public collegiate, multi campus university based in Kigali, Rwanda, and is currently ranked number one in the country. Formed in 2013 through the merger of previously independent education institutions, the University of Rwanda is the largest education institution in Rwanda. Today the University of Rwanda is composed of six independent and self-governing colleges operating on eight campuses. The university hosts a number of centres including four African Centres of Excellence established by World Bank. The university has roughly 32,000 students, with ~2,000 in Masters Programs and ~400 in Doctorate Programs.
