This 2 year coursework and dissertation masters aims to produce engineering professionals with the necessary skills to address real world problems in the energy sector by means of economically, socially and environmentally friendly energy systems and technologies.
With the support of the TEA-LP, Mekelle have added the Off-Grid Energy Systems course to the programme. This course aims for students to be able to design a complete off-grid energy systems based on the community needs, available resources and technologies. This course will focus on solar based off-grid energy technologies and address the context of rural development, factors that stimulate end-user demand, standards setting and gender dimensions of energy access.
