Gender and energy support in the TEA-LP

Gender energy TEA-LP

Gender mainstreaming is a core value of the TEA-LP. We aim to promote equality and opportunity for all genders throughout our programme. This is achieved not only in pursuing gender responsive content but also in gender representation at all levels, from curriulum teams to students in the classroom.

Our support follows a multi-pronged approach and has included ensuring that women are actively included in the curriculum development teams and that female students are supported in university programmes. We were pleased to be able to award one of our Lichtenstein Reed / TEA-LP scholarships to a female student studying the MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering at Mekelle University.

We also strive to ensure that gender considerations are embedded in the curricula. This includes supporting each university with country-specific gender resources and readings.
