15th International Conference Renewable Energy Storage

16 – 18 March 2021

From 16 to 18 March, scientists and other experts  will present the latest research on renewable energy systems and technologies at the 15th International Conference on Renewable Energy Storage. Held annually since 2006 IRES has emerged as the world’s largest scientific conference on renewable energy storage systems.

This year, the focus is on batteries, thermal and RenPower2X Energy Systems. We are especially pleased to present our joint program in cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf and the German Association for Energy Storage at the first day of the event. Distinguished speakers such as Prof. Dr. Hans-Martin Henning, the director of Fraunhofer ISE, member of the Expert Council for Climate Issues of the German Federal Government and Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of the IRES conference, EU Commissioner Kadri Simson, and Dolf Gielen, Director Innovation and Technology of IRENA, will keynote on the first day. Explore two scientific lecture series, interactive digital poster sessions with live presentations on the 17th of March, opened by Professor Peter Newman, and our German-language IRES day on 18 March. The German day is held with the renowned EnergyAgency.NRW, discussing current topics such as the Green Deal, the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) and the future and redesign of opencast mines in Germany.
