Dr. Khosru M. Salim

Salim (B.Sc. ’93, M.Sc. ’99, Ph.D. ’04) completed a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1993. He received his MSc and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering, consequently from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru,1999, and Kyoto University, Japan, 2004. He has experience in the field of sustainable energies, industrial electronics, course curriculum development, teaching, and administrative positions for many years. Dr Khosru Salim boasts superior expertise and experience in clean energy and energy efficiency-related topics, with over 18 years of experience. Currently, Dr. Salim acts as a full-time Professor at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), and the Director of the Green Energy Research Center (IUB). His research interests include power electronics, photovoltaic systems, renewable energy, power systems, and embedded systems. He has many scientific papers in the field of power electronics indexed by IEEE and is a co-author of several IEEE prize papers. He is the coordinator of Course# 1 and Course# 2 of the TEA-LP program from the Independent University, Bangladesh.
Mohammad Rejwan Uddin
Transforming Energy AccessMohammad Rejwan Uddin (B.Sc. ’11, M.Sc. ’16) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). In 2014, he joined the GERC IUB for applied research on Power Electronics Systems as a GRA and became a Research Associate in the laboratory in 2016. Currently, Rejwan is an Adjunct Faculty of the School of Engineering, Technology and Sciences (SETS) at IUB. He has held multiple roles within the SETS, most recently as Technical Supervisor of Fab Lab IUB. His research interests include design, manufacturing, and control techniques for power electronic systems and components, and their use in a wide range of applications. He became the director of Solar Boat Irrigation, a government-funded project to develop a solar-powered boat for irrigation and recreational purposes focusing on the HF controller and Solar Inverter development for 3-p IM. He has built his expertise and experience in smart technology, energy, and energy efficiency-related topics, with over 10 years of experience. Mr. Rejwan is a member of the IEEE. He has received the SECS Awards for International Publications, Win Challenge Fund from the Prime Minister’s Office for an innovative idea, Winner of the National Project Competition on Green Energy and Technology. He has several scientific papers in the field of power electronics indexed by IEEE and is a co-author of one of the IEEE prizes papers. He will be contributing as the co-coordinator of Course# 1 and Course# 2 of the TEA-LP program.
Md. Iftadul Islam Sakib

Iftadul Islam Sakib received his Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Master of Science (MSc) degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in 2018 and 2021, respectively. He is currently working as an Adjunct Faculty Member of the School of Engineering, Technology, and Sciences (SETS) and a Research Associate at the Green Energy Research Center (GERC), IUB. He received the Top Performer’s Award for Outstanding Academic Performance in the Graduate Program at IUB. He has strong interpersonal communication skills and enjoys working independently and as part of a team. His research interests include solar energy, renewable energy, energy policy, power converters, and energy efficiency. He will be contributing as a co-coordinator for Course# 1 and Course# 2 of the TEA-LP program.
