TEA-LP Rolling Fund Launch: How would YOU like to make your impact in the TEA-LP network?
Introduction
The TEA-LP is pleased to announce the launch of our Rolling Fund (TEA-LP-RF). The purpose of the TEA-LP-RF is for our partners to have ongoing access to funding for what is deemed as most required for accelerating energy education in their unique contexts. This fund gives our partners the opportunity to apply for reimbursement funding in the related field of energy education and renewable energy. The idea is to foster partner-led presentations/webinars, staff exchanges, and event attendance, which will expand TEA-LP coverage and make sure our partners get industry exposure.
How will it work?
There are three application deadlines throughout the year (30 March, 1 July, 1 October). Applicants will need to fill out the online application form HERE, which includes submitting a detailed budget, work plan and motivation. Applications will be rated against a set of criteria with top-rated proposals receiving the funding opportunity. Each award is capped at £2000 and there are 15 funding opportunities available for the year. Successful candidates will be notified within three weeks of the application deadline.
Selection criteria:
- MOTIVATION
- RELEVANCE TO TEA-LP
- COLLABORATION
- IMPACT
- INNOVATION
- VALUE FOR MONEY
- DETAILED BUDGET
- CARBON IMPACT** (although this is considered it is not one of the deciding factors)
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be TEA-LP Partners (directly linked to the delivery of TEA-LP courses/or in a signed MoU with the TEA-LP)
- Applicant proposals must relate to renewable energy/energy education
- Proposals that show active collaboration with another TEA-LP partner will get preference (such as faculty exchange to do a lecture series at a partner university)

- Applications will be limited to one application per person, two applications per university
How does payment work?

Funding access payment options, with a funding cap of £2,000:
1.Pay as an individual and claim back from UCT (through TEA-LP)
2.Your University pays and claims back from UCT (through TEA-LP)

DISCLAIMER:
We operate on providing opportunities for multiple partners through a fair and equitable approach. TEA-LP retains the right to refrain from granting funding if applications do not meet the requirements.
Preference will be given to those who have not yet been supported for travel by TEA-LP within the project.
We understand that the reimbursement structure is not always ideal for all our partners. However, this is predetermined by our funder, and we cannot unfortunately change this.
