Ing. Kwabena Addo

Ing. Addo Kwabena is a highly accomplished and knowledgeable engineer in the field of Power Systems and Energetic Engineering. With a strong academic background and extensive experience in renewable energy and energy systems, he has made significant contributions to the development and implementation of sustainable energy solutions in Kumasi Technical University. He has an MPhil in Renewable Energy Technology and BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He is also certified Professional Electrical Wiring Inspector from Ghana Energy commission and certified Professional Engineer from Ghana Institution of Engineering.

Ing. Addo Kwabena takes on the crucial role of coordinating renewable energy projects under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) funded project. He collaborated with JICA to drive the implementation of Solar Wheelchair for disabled and Solar Smart bag for phone charging and contributes to capacity building in the renewable energy sector for TVET programs. His research interests encompass energy systems modelling and optimisation, Quantum Machine Learning (QML), and Power systems optimisation. Through his research endeavours, he strives to advance knowledge and find innovative solutions to complex energy and power-related challenges.

Dr Misbawu Adam

Dr. Adam Misbawu is currently a Senior lecturer and the Head of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Kumasi Technical University. He obtained Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, majored in Power Systems, at Kumasi Technical University (Formerly Kumasi Polytechnic) in 2003, BSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering Degree, majored in Power Systems at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2011, MEng Power Electronics and Power Drives, Wuhan, China in 2013 and 2015, and PhD in Traffic Information Engineering and Control in the field of power Electronics at Wuhan University of Technology, Wuhan, China in 2015 and 2019. His research interests are in the areas of Electrical Power Generation using Conventional and Renewable Sources and Active Power filters. He has been teaching courses in the areas of Power Systems, Network Analysis, Electrical Machines, and Industrial Power electronics. Dr. Misbawu has vast experience in the management of examination since September 2011 and has published a number of articles in both conferences proceedings and journals. Some of the articles are indexed in Science Citation Index (SCI) /Web of Science website, Engineering index (EI) and Engineering village website.
