The programme brings together professionals from across the continent and offers a structured learning journey that blends technical understanding, leadership development, and practical, real-world skills required in the evolving energy landscape.

The six core modules delivered as part of the programme are:

  1. High-Level Overview of the Energy and Off-Grid Energy Sectors

  2. Leadership (personal, team, and institutional)

  3. Risk Management

  4. Communication and Storytelling

  5. Financial Management

  6. Project Management

Together, these modules provide participants with a systems-level understanding of the energy sector while strengthening the professional competencies required to lead projects, teams, and organisations effectively.

Since its inception, the Future Female Leaders in Energy programme has directly trained more than 400 women across 14 cohorts, contributing to skills development, leadership capacity, and confidence among women professionals working in Africa’s energy ecosystem.

Programmes such as this reflect TEA-LP’s commitment to delivering practical, high-impact capacity-building initiatives that support a more inclusive, skilled, and resilient energy sector. As the energy transition accelerates, investing in people remains central to achieving sustainable and equitable outcomes.
